Secrets, Stories, and Curses Part 3

Aurelie walks in smiling, her lavender eyes scanning the tables till she finds her house. Skipping over to the Hufflepuff table she slings the leather messenger bag off of her shoulders, digging around and pulling out a Charms textbook. She begins to read the chapter they went over in class and tilts her head, her nose practically buried in the book as she goes over the many spells written in it.

| A small figure walks into the Grand Hall of Hogwarts cloaked in black a hood shrouding his face. Remembering a time where he used to go here he walks down the tables running his hand along the Ravenclaw table. I'll break that curse, he thinks angrily, a blood-red shape showing through the shadows of the hood before disappearing again. He looks around the room trying to see if anyone was there. Seeing a girl he abandons what he was going to attempts and instead pulls down his hood, revealing a young boy with messy dark brown hair. His eyes were the strangest. His right eye was hazel, but his other eye was blue. That wasn't the strange bit. His eyes seemed to change from blue to yellow, then back to blue in under a second.

Aurelie glances over at the only other person in the room, a young boy with messy and dark hair and strange eyes. Though she couldn't really comment on strangeness, after all, what person had lavender eyes? She remembered asking her mother, days before her parents' death why her eyes were that way. Her mother hadn't given her an answer. Shaking her head to rid the thought of her parents, she buries her nose deeper into the book. Trying to focus on the words instead of the dark thoughts she was having just then.

Connor Coleman | With his hood down the boy felt too open. To revealed. He felt that the longer he had his hood down, the better the chance his enemies would find him. Yet he didn't want to appear as a dark character to everyone at Hogwarts. No, it was best to keep the hood off. For now at least. Looking over at the girl from earlier, he noticed she had a book in her hands. Maybe she knew a... No, most likely not. Though it couldn't hurt to try, can it? As the boy stood thinking about whether to talk to the girl or not, the realization that the girl would not be an enemy or working for an enemy became more apparent. After all, she was only a student, and his enemies wouldn't use polyjuice to come here on the off chance that he might be here. No, he would go talk. The boy then turned away from the Ravenclaw table and towards the Hufflepuff table. As he stepped up he made his presence known "Hello."

Aurelie glances up from her book, turning her lavender eyes to the boy from before. Realizing he had just spoken she shyly replied in a soft voice, heavy with a french accent, "Umm... Bonjour Monsieur."

Connor Coleman | The boy nods politely slightly surprised at the accent before speaking "Bonjour. I was wondering what book you were reading?"He decided to build his way up and make sure she was trustworthy and proving his own trustworthiness before going on to why he really wanted to speak.

Aurelie smiles politely at the boy, replying in the same soft voice. "I was reading a book on... a form of magic." She decided not to tell him what her intentions were in reading the book, knowing he, like most people, wouldn't understand her situation. She smiles politely at him once more before turning her strange eyes back to the book, swiping a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear.

Connor Coleman | The boy raises a brow at her evasiveness "A form of magic?" he questions suspiciously, even though he might seem a bit suspicious himself "Seems a bit vague, don't you think?" He smiles trying to ease her into telling him about the book. For all the boy knew, it could be the very thing that could help him "I don't care if you're reading anything dark. I'm just curious."

Aurelie tilts her head slightly at him and smiles. "Sometimes one must be vague to protect themselves, no?" She goes back to reading, trying to avoid all of the suspicious thoughts springing into her head about the boy. He wasn't with them, was he? Was he after her? She had no way of knowing if he was a part of that wretched organization, so until proven trustworthy she decided to be vague with the boy.

Connor Coleman | The boy circles around to the other side of her, trying to get a glimpse of the book before speaking "The vague usually are vague because they cannot protect themselves any other way. Is that true in this particular case?" The boy asked before sitting down "Tell you what" He says with a small smile on his face "Since I haven't introduced myself yet" He holds out his hand "I'm Connor" The boy says hoping that introduce himself would show him to be trustworthy. After all, what intelligent enemy would introduce themselves.

Aurelie blinks at him with her lavender eyes questioningly, what enemy introduces themselves? She sighs and shrugs, shaking his hand with her smaller one and smiling softly. "Aurelie, Aurelie Monreau."

Connor Coleman | The boy smiles at the fact that he was on the right track "Now, since we're on friendly terms," The boy spoke knowing full well that introducing yourself was only the start of the path to friendly terms "Could you tell me what you're reading, and I'll tell you why I'm curious?" he spoke hoping that that would pique the Aurelie's interest.

Aurelie raises an eyebrow slightly and hums, replying softly. "If I'm going to tell you that, you must promise not to tell anyone. It is extremely important no one finds out." She looks at him waiting.

Connor Coleman | The boy raises a brow curiously "Suspicious behavior for a young girl." He says before answering "But, very well, I agree."

Aurelie smiles slightly. "And your behavior isn't suspicious for a young boy? Though you agreed, so I suppose I must tell you." She shows him the cover of the book. The cover showing that it is an advanced Dark Arts spell book, banned in most areas of the wizarding world. She tilts her head curiously, wondering what his reaction will be.

Connor Coleman |The boy laughs at what she said "If you only knew" he says before looking at the cover with interest "Where did you get this?" before he could get answer he continued speaking "Never mind that, does it contain anything about curses?" he asks figuring he's closer to his goal than he was a few minutes ago.

Aurelie tilts her head at him, humming in thought. "You did say earlier you would tell me why you are so curious about the book. I myself am curious as well. Why so interested?"

Connor Coleman | The boy looks in surprise at her while angry with himself for saying that. He sighs before saying "I guess I did say I would." The boy thinking to himself of a way to get away with not telling everything, decides to say "Do you want the long explanation or the short one?"

Aurelie smiles slightly. "I'd prefer the long explanation, I enjoy details. Tell you what, if you tell me. I'll tell you why I was reading it in the first place. Deal?"

| The boy, clearly intrigued raises a brow "Interesting. Although to explain my curiosity, it would be a long story." He says hoping to convince her to take the short story. "Are you sure you want the long explanation? If so, then we have a deal"

Aurelie hums and nods. "I have time, I would like to hear the long explanation."

Connor Coleman |The boy sighs defeated "Very well. To put it simply at first. I have been cursed." He says watching the girls reactions "You know the saying 'Looks Can Deceive'? That applies here. I am a little over three thousand years old" He stopped just in case she didn't believe him or had anything to say.

Aurelie raises an eyebrow and hums to herself softly, not saying anything but looking extremely curious.

Connor looks on curious at the girl, surprised that she didn't say anything unlike the few others who've heard his story, But he didn't count it out yet "I was born in another realm. Before I continue, What do you know of Vampires? Not just the ones on this realm but all vampires?"

Aurelie hums and grins, replying. "From what I've heard, they sparkle. Though you don't seem very sparkly to me."

Connor growls at the girl "Do not insult vampires from that trash" He calms himself down before continuing "Anyways. I wasn't your average vampire. I was a vampire of the Temporia Clan, Manipulators of time"

Aurelie smiles at the trash comment and snickers slightly, continuing to listen. "Manipulators of time? Sounds interesting. Seems like you're Clan is powerful as well."

Connor shakes his head sadly "They were. Even before my curse, the clan was dying. Now that the curse has come upon me the Clan is dead. The curse stripped me of all my abilities and powers. And has made me this young human"

Aurelie looks at him with empathy. "It must be terrible having to be so alone." She thinks of her own situation and shakes her head, realizing how alone they both seem to be.

| Connor nods agreeing with what she's saying "Now you see why I was curious. I want to break that curse. I need to break that curse."

Aurelie hums and taps her chin in thought. "I suppose since I got the long explanation it's time to tell my sob story."

Connor Coleman | Raises a brow curious, but shakes his head "You don't have to." he says, though his own curiosity outweighs his want to prove his trust.

Aurelie smiles. "No, I promised. And even though I don't know you very well you will soon learn, I always keep my promises.
